Sunday, February 12, 100-300 PM

The movement toward parish is reaching a tipping point. Thousands of people across Canada & the US are moving toward a more local and embodied way of being the church in everyday life. But the journey is complex, the transition is difficult, and the experienced guides are few.

Join this gathering of practitioners from Edmonton, as well as seasoned representatives from Cascadia as stories are told, best practices shared, and the charism of particular places are explored.

What about the neighbour?

When God's will is done,
Love of God and other,
Two loves become one.
Jesus asks the question,
We dare not ignore,
"Will you be a neighbour?"
"Do you love self more?"

What about the neighbour?

Do we know their needs?

Do we seek to meet them,

With both words and deeds?

Christ is our example
.
He did not divide
Love for God and others.
Both stand side by side.

What about the neighbour?

God requests reply.

Though we claim to love them,

Do our acts belie?

No matter what others

May do in return,
They're our sisters, brothers,
Our equal concern.

Winter playgrounds

Loving our neighbors was never meant to be just a metaphor for loving someone else. We grow the most where we're planted. (bob goff)
